My mom came to visit in January. She flew in from Utah on Wednesday night, January 4. The next day we had so much fun! We shopped and ran errands and just had fun being together and never once stopped talking. It was so fun to have her here. I loved having someone to run errands with, fold laundry with, cook with, and just BE with. We baked and planned the menu for the next few days when Tory's parents would also be here. We even got to see a movie together! We had cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory and saw Hugo in 3D. So good! That night Tory's parents drove in from Arizona. Friday we all had fun and that night we celebrated Austin's birthday. Not very often that any family gets to celebrate birthdays with us let alone THREE grandparents! More on that later. Then Saturday was Dallin's big day. His baptism! More on that later, too. My mom had to fly back to Utah that evening but we were so thankful for the time we had for her and for her sacrifice to be here. Dallin sure felt special. Right before she left he was talking to her and said, "So pretty much you basically came all the way here just for me." Said with a big smile on his face. Tory's parents stayed for one more day and went to church with us and then left early the next morning. We were so glad they were able to come, too. Such a fun visit. Please come again soon everyone!

Tory and his parents. We gave them their Christmas present while they were here. We wanted to see their faces when they opened it. We made them t-shirts. They say "Sequence Championship" on the front with "Let's Turn the Tables" underneath. It's our little joke. Every time they come we spend HOURS playing Sequence! So fun! When a team gets behind or loses a round they hold on to the table and give it a shake as they say "Let's turn the tables!" Ha, ha!
And the backs. They read, "The Jacks are WILD!" with our names by each one of the Jacks. My goodness. We've made some great memories and had the best time playing this game.

Tory's Dad decided to buy a remote control helicopter. They spent many hours practicing flying it but even more hours at the hobby shop buying new parts. Seriously.
Probably at least 5 trips to that store in only 2 days. But they had lots of fun.
Nana taught all the kids how to play Miss Mary Mac. They all got pretty good. But nothing compared to their mother. That's right. You're looking at a Miss Mary Mac champion right here.
Remember how good we were, Beth? We were FAST! Oh, yeah. Our hands were practically a blur.
